Regarded as the major venue of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, the Assembly Rooms over the years have housed comics like Griff Rhys-Jones, Ben Elton, Lenny Henry, Rik Mayall, John Sessions, Jools Holland, Gerry Sadowitz and Julian Clary.
