Monster Stones: The Story of a Dinosaur Fossil Jacqui Bailey

Taking the reader back millions of years, this is the story of a dinosaur's death. Through the story, the reader will discover how the dinosaur's bones slowly became the lumpy rocks we call fossils and how the fossils were discovered. It also explains how fossils are removed, researched and preserved in museums. The volume concludes with an activity to make a fossil model. This volume is part of a series which uses cartoon-style illustrations and speech bubbles to make scientific ideas easier to understand. Fact boxes, a themed experiment, a list of related Web sites and an index are also included."
