Bruges flower lace is one of the sectional bobbin laces, and designs are based on flowers, leaves and braids, with a characteristic scroll. This work contains 60 patterns and basic technical information, offering the experienced lace-maker scope for originality and versatility. It gives a brief history of this type of lace, and is illustrated with working diagrams, prickings and photographs of the finished designs. J.E.H.
