This has been written to support the new specification for GCSE Religious Studies, Edexcel A, Unit 8, Religion and Society, based on a study of Christianity and Islam. The book is divided into four chapters relating to the exam's areas of study and examination questions: rights and responsibilites; environmental and medical issues; peace and conflict; crime and punishment. Chapters begin with an overview of the section and the keywords and their definitions for that part of the exam, to help students revise for Edexcel's 'Type A' questions. A double-page spread follows on each of the eleven areas of study for each section within the unit relating directly to the exam specification. Taylor is author of Folens KS3 REflections. She is Principal examiner in Judaism (GCSE) for AQA and Senior examiner for WJEC. She has many years experience as Head of Department in a Comprehensive and as Head of Department in a Sixth Form College. She has lead various RE Inset courses in Shropshire, Telford Unitary Authority and Warrington.
