Über Georgie Ripper

A gifted young writer and illustrator, Georgie Ripper won the Macmillan Prize for Picture Book Illustration in 2000 with MY BEST FRIEND, BOB and LITTLE BROWN BUSHRAT, which was published by Macmillan in 2002 -- her first picture book (HB 0 333 96082 3, PB 0 333 96083 1). Her second, MY BEST FRIEND, BOB shows a further development in her watercolour style, and her ability to create instantly recognisable and appealing animal characters. It received wide praise on its hardback publication in 2003.
