Zusammenfassung

Volume two in an extraordinary SF series set 200 years in the future when China rules the world. With Triad bosses and assassins, emperors, whores and visionaries, it is part heroic epic, part technological thriller, part romance - a compelling tale of fallen empires and ordinary people unified only by the dark history of their time.

Daylight on Iron Mountain Zusammenfassung

Daylight on Iron Mountain: Book 2: Chung Kuo David Wingrove

Japan lies under a radioactive cloud, its denizens wiped out. America has been subjugated, its inhabitants scattered. The Old World is dead, buried beneath the foundations of the new - Chung Kuo, a mile-high, globe-spanning megacity. Billions have perished and history has been rewritten with their blood. Over all of this one man reigns supreme: Tsao Ch'un - the Son of Heaven. But it takes one type of man to conquer a world, another to rule it. The Son of Heaven's brutality has alienated even his closest allies and in the depths of the great city, rebellion has been unleashed. The Great Wheel of Change turns and the fight for the future has begun.

Über David Wingrove

Novelist and Hugo Award-winning critic, David Wingrove has been writing seriously since he was a teenager and now has twenty-six novels to his credit, along with several volumes of non-fiction. His work has often been described as 'epic' and with some justification: his first published series CHUNG KUO is in excess of two-million words and took almost a decade to conceive, research and plot. His most recent book, The Master of Time, part of the The Roads to Moscow series, was published by Penguin Random House imprint Del Rey in April 2017.
