Contains black and white illustrated plates. Pages are heavily tanned with minor foxing throughout. Binding is firm. Water staining to bottom edge of some pages. Small tears and creases to most pages, some repaired with tape. Heavy black marks throughout. Text remains readable. Some pen annotations rubbed off, causing scuffing a few pages. Pencil scribbles to rear endpaper. Plates are moderately tanned. Library plate to front pastedown, with stamp and inscriptions to front free endpaper. Boards have slight edge wear with corner bumping. Minor crushing to spine ends. Gilt lettering is bright and clear. Book is slightly bowed and forward leaning. Faint dust marks to boards.
