The Complete Book of the Guitar Summary

The Complete Book of the Guitar by Terry Burrows

The Complete Encyclopedia Of The Guitar traces the story of this popular instrument from its earliest pre-Christian ancestry through the first guitars of the 15th century, Torres and the birth of the modern classical guitar, right up to the most recent solid-body electrics and their associated amplification. Illustrated with over 220 colour and black and white photographs, 120 of the world's greatest performers and 25 of the most famous guitar manufacturers are profiled in detail. For the first time in a single volume, The Complete Encyclopedia Of The Guitar brings together the instruments, the music and the musicians as it unfolds the story of what is now probably the world's most popular musical instrument.
