About Christian DeVirgilio (Chair, Department of Surgery, Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, Torrance Co-Chair, College of Applied Anatomy, Professor of Surgery, UCLA School of Medicine, Los Angeles, California)

Dr. Chris DeVirgilio is Vice Chair of Education and Director of the General Surgery Residency Program at Harbor-UCLA, and Professor of Surgery at the UCLA School of Medicine. Dr. DeVirgilio has authored or co-authored 70 publications in peer reviewed journals. He has served as a research mentor for 20 undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate students and residents over the last 10 years. Dr. DeVirgilio has an active interest in resident and medical student education.
