Ron Priddle has had thirty years' experience with local authority fire brigades, mostly with the Wiltshire Fire Brigade, and four years with the British Rail Fire Department, whilst also being curator of the Fire Brigade Museum. Although now retired, he still carries out fire safety consultancy for First Great Western Trains. He lives in Devizes, Wiltshire.
