Cathy Luchetti grew up in Texas, attended the University of Utah, and spent several years in the Peace Corps. She is a winner of the Pacific Northwest Bookseller's Award for Literary Excellence and the James Beard Award for Best Writing on American Food. In 2002 she was invited to speak at the White House on women in the American West. She lives in Oakland, California. Previous Books: Home on the Range, and several other titles about women in the west.
