Edited by Arthur Hassall. Pages have slight foxing, tanning and minor thumbing. Foxing more intense towards the start and end of the book and on text block edges. Slight gutter cracking. Fold-out maps have some pronounced foxing and tanning and some small creases. Previous owner's inscription to front endpaper. A few small edge tears to a few pages. Boards have some edge wear, with slight bumping and fraying to corners, while spine ends are moderately crushed and frayed. Slightly scratched, rubbed and marked overall. Several minor dents to board edges. Slight water staining to rear. Spine is noticeably sunned. Gilt is bright.
