Pages have slight foxing, tanning and minor thumbing. Foxing more intense towards the start and end of the book and on text block edges. Previous owner's inscription to front endpaper. Slight gutter cracking. Text block edges are uneven. A few dog-eared corners. Boards have some edge wear, with pronounced bumping and fraying to corners, while spine ends are crushed and frayed. Rather scratched, rubbed and marked overall. Slight water staining to front and rear. Gilt is bright.
