1908. 4th revised edition. 294 pages. No dust jacket. Blue decorative cloth with gilt lettering. Contains black and white illustrated plates and frontis. Plate at page 192 is detached but still present. Prize plate to front pastedown dated 1910. Pages are heavily tanned and thumbed at the edges. Binding has remained firm. Heavy foxing throughout. Hinges are cracked with netting exposed. Guttering is cracked in a few places causing text block to appear uneven. Frontis is loose at the bottom. Boards have been moderately rub worn, with noticeable shelf wear to corners, spine and edges. Corners are bumped and a little frayed and spine ends are crushed, with small splits and chips. Faint ink and white paint marks to rear board. Light tanning to spine and edges. Boards are a little bowed. Book has a slight forward lean. Significant water marks to boards and spine.
