Sir Peter Parker spent his childhood in France and Shanghai, served in the war in India and Burma and was given a unique insight into the American Intelligence Service in Washington. As one of the talented post-war generation he was also directed as Hamlet by Ken Tynan, played Lear with Shirley Williams as his Cordelia and chaired the University Labour Club.
