Carefree Gardening Summary

Carefree Gardening by Margery Fish

A new edition of this book describing how the author and her husband created a garden out of a wilderness at their home at East Lambrook Manor in Somerset. Margery Fish knew right from the start the kind of natural effect she wanted and she came to understand more fully over the years that this could be achieved with plants not needing constant attention. Information and advice is included on the planning of an informal garden which can be maintained without too much time being taken up by routine tasks, so giving the gardener more time to enjoy the plants. The author, who is now deceased wrote several other gardening books including "We Made A Garden". Her garden at East Lambrook is maintained as she planted it and is open to the public.
