Award winning writer, television broadcaster, teacher and social activist, Leslie Kenton is well known for her work throughout the English-speaking world. Author of more than thirty best-selling books on health, personal development and spiritual power, her written works include Journey to Freedom- 13 Quantum Leaps for the Soul, New raw Energy, The Joy of Beauty, Passage to Power Journey to Freedom and Cook Energy. She is described by the media as 'the guru of health and fitness': 'If there is one expert who can genuinely be described as pioneering and visionary, it's Leslie Kenton.'
Leslie's books have been translated into many foreign languages while her journalism has appeared in every national newspaper in Britain and many abroad. She was an Editor for Harpers & Queen magazine for fourteen years. Her network television series have included 'Raw Energy', a cookery series, and 'Ageless Ageing'. She has also written, made and presented a series of short films on health for the BBC. Recently Leslie turned her hand to photography, specializing in macro photographs. She has just completed her third fully illustrated photographic book.
Leslie lectures and teaches throughout the world, continually striving to bring to light natural methods of enhancing health, creativity and personal power to enable people to gain more control over their own lives and make better use of their personal creativity. Her Journey to Freedom workshops are now taught both in Europe and the Southern Hemisphere. She has always insisted that real health, creativity and personal power all come from within and that the only true 'guru' is the individual human soul. Leslie simply provides the tools that help people realize their own potential- improving their lives and having more to give to their families, communities and the planet itself.
Leslie has been a consultant to the European Parliament and a course developer for Britain's Open University. She has conceived and developed major cosmetic ranges and natural health care products for corporations throughout the world. Her work was honoured by her being asked to deliver the McCarrison Lecture at the Royal Society of Medicine and she has also received a number of awards for her work including the PPA 'Technical Writer of the Year'. Recently, her work has been increasingly concerned not only with the process of enhancing individual health but of helping to re-establish deep bonds of connectedness with the earth as a part of healing the planet. Leslie is the daughter of American Jazz musician, the late Stan Kenton.
