Virginia Hein was born in Los Angeles, California and is the author of the highly popular urban sketching blog http://worksinprogress-location.blogspot.co.uk. She received her MFA in Drawing and Painting from California State University, Long Beach and now she teaches drawing and design at Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles, and at her private location sketching workshop.
