Stephanie Clarkson trained as a journalist and continues to contribute to the British press while writing both fiction and non-fiction titles for children. She believes her journalistic skills allow her to make even the most difficult subjects accessible to young readers. The author of several picture books, Stephanie is passionate about nurturing a love of books in children, frequently visits schools and is Patron of Reading at Clapham Terrace Primary School in Royal Leamington Spa. Katie Abey is a yellow-haired illustrator human who lives in a teeny hobbit-like house in Derbyshire. She lives with a cat, a hedgehog, a husband and the world's smiliest baby. Her work provides doses of happiness and motivation with a little dash of sarcasm. She is a big lover of animals and her work often features creatures looking slightly nonchalant, perturbed or even sometimes a bit deranged. When she is not drawing Katie enjoys going on adventures with her daughter Violet and consuming as many chocolate oranges as humanly possible.
