Richard Waring is a teacher of science and drama. He has also worked as a scriptwriter and lectures in scriptwriting at Bournemouth University. He lives in Lewes. Guy Parker-Rees's exuberant and energetic illustrations are instantly recognisable and much-loved. The Rough Guide to Children's Books describes him as "One of the most exciting young artists in the children's book world." Guy has illustrated many successful picture books for Orchard, including Giraffes Can't Dance and Spookyrumpus, winner of the Sheffield Children's Book Award and the City of Discovery Picture Book Award. Guy lives in Brighton.
