Axe (Alun Evans) turned from crossword poacher to gamekeeper in 1996 when the New Internationalist published his first crossword. Since then his uniquely themed 2-in-1 puzzle has featured in the NI exclusively every month, and he has gone on to be published in The Independent, The Observer and The Financial Times.
