The Story of Matthew Buzzington Summary

The Story of Matthew Buzzington by Andy Stanton

Hilarious story with trademark Stanton-esque nonsense. Matthew Buzzington has a superpower - he can turn into a fly! It's just that it hasn't happened yet, which is pretty bad timing really because there are robbers and flying pineapples out to get him. Can he make his superpower work? A fun, chunky format including stickers. Particularly suitable for struggling, reluctant and dyslexic readers aged 7+

About Andy Stanton

Andy Stanton's famous Mr Gum series began in a chocolate-fuelled haze one Christmas Eve as he frantically wrote a story to entertain his young cousins the next day. The story was left in a drawer and forgotten until a few years later when Andy found that it still made him laugh. He sent it off to an agent and the rest is history. Andy lives in North London. Ross Collins describes his younger self as looking like a currant bun and being very fond of drawing. He is still fond of drawing and is now an award-winning author and illustrator, but no longer bears any great resemblance to baked goods. His picture book The Elephantom was adapted by the National Theatre. Ross lives in Glasgow.
