About Andy Stanton

Andy Stanton loved books from an early age. Later he progressed to stories with no pictures but he always retained a huge affection for children's books and would read them on trains and buses long before it was fashionable to do so. A string of part-time jobs seemed to be leading nowhere until one Christmas he sat down and wrote a story to entertain his young cousins. That story turned out to be You're A Bad Man, Mr Gum! and it became the first book in the best-selling and rather bizarre 'Mr Gum' series, which has won numerous awards and been translated into over twenty languages.
