S.W.I.T.C.H: Turtle Terror by Ali Sparkes

Josh and Danny are on holiday with their parents in Cornwall-so the last person they expect to see is mad scientist, and next door neighbour, Petty Potts! So when the twins see her on the beach - holding a turtle under each arm-they can't help but wonder what she's up to. The thing is, the boys have got other things on their mind. They've found another mystery marble clue, and need to get out to the ruined fort on the rocky island. But they take too long and the tide comes in, trapping them. Luckily, they have a bottle filled with SWITCH spray and turn themselves into leatherback turtles! Their swim back to mainland is filled with danger . . . Will Danny be able to save Josh from the fishing net before he SWITCHes back in to a boy?
Praise for SWITCH This book has helped my son, 5, move on from picture books at bed time to one with more wordsAn excellent choice for reluctant readers who will be thrilled at the idea of turning into a bug, mad inventors and lots of adventures. * Amazon Reviewer *
The book is great fun and involves the reader, who really feels as though they are part of the story. Along the way the reader learns a surprising amount about pond life. * www.parentsintouch.co.uk *

Ali was a local newspaper reporter and columnist before joining BBC local radio as a producer and presenter, and then chucked in the safe job to be dangerously freelance and write scripts and manuscripts. Her first venture was as a comedy columnist on the BBC Radio's top-rated Woman's Hour and Home Truths programmes. Ali lives in Southampton with her husband and sons and would never kill a creepy-crawly of any kind. They are more scared of her than she is of them. (Creepy-crawlies, not her husband and sons.) Ross Collins is winner of the Royal Mail Book Award. Ross was born in Glasgow, Scotland. He graduated from the Glasgow School of Art in 1994 with 1st Degree in Illustration and spent two years in London before returning to Glasgow. He spends time illustrating picture books, watching cartoons, cat juggling and precariously swinging backwards on chairs. He has illustrated over thirty children's books so far and written four of them. The Sea Hole won 1st place in the 1994 Macmillan Prize and Supposing gained, among other prizes, a Blue Ribbon Award in the US.
