This Bible responds to the high and increasing demand for an inclusive language translation of the Bible. When translating from the original languages, the translation team held to 3 key principles: accuracy of text, beauty of expression and clarity of words and meaning in order to remain faithful to the original languages. This means that an NIV Inclusive Language Edition does not change our understanding of God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, for example, which remain masculine.
