This vendor-neutral certification benefits the employer by maximizing efficiency in recruiting, hiring, and training and the employee by providing transferable skills and a career path. CompTIA has yet to release exam objectives for the new A+ exams. A beta exam is planned for October with revised objectives being released in September, and the revisions to the A+ content expected in December of 2000. A revised Table of Contents will be available after objectives have been released by CompTIA. Changes to the A+ exam may include: 1. Elimination of the Windows 3.1 objectives and items 2. Elimination of the Customer Satisfaction objectives and items 3.
