About Susan Bassnett

Susan Bassnett is Professor of Comparative Literature and Pro-Vice-Chancellor at the University of Warwick, and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature. She is the author of over twenty books including Translation Studies (3rd edition, 2003), Sylvia Plath: An Introduction to the Poetry (2006), and, as editor (with Peter Bush) The Translator as Writer (2006). She writes regularly for the national press and is a published poet and translator. Her most recent collection is Exchanging Lives (2002). She is currently completing a memoir.
