Sal has taught in schools and colleges, supporting students with a range of learning needs and has worked for government agencies. Sal regularly writes for the Guardian and Special Children magazine and won the NSE Journalist of the Year award for specialist press. Sal has been awarded the Texthelp's Dyslexia Champion Award for 2013.
