About Robert Gittings

Robert Gittings (1911-92) was born in Portsmouth and was educated at St Edward's School, Oxford and Jesus College, Cambridge where he became a Fellow. A distinguished biographer and poet, Dr Gittings is also the author of John Keats to be published in Penguin Classic Biography in July 2001.
