Children's poet Richard Edwards has created his own versions of traditional nursery rhymes and has set them into an A to Z framework. Well-known characters like Bobby Shaftoe, Doctor Foster and Humpty Dumpty appear, but children will find them in unexpected settings, doing unexpected things. This mix of traditional and modern rhyme, and nonsense verse, accompanied by Chris Fisher's humorous illustrations is intended to make learning the alphabet an entertaining experience for children, parents and teachers.
