Beastmaster: Myth Summary

Beastmaster: Myth by Richard A. Knaak

Dar, the royal son of King Zed was stolen at birth by the vicious high-priest sorcerer Maax and intended for sacrifice. Miraculously rescued and raised by a poor villager, Dar discovers a natural ability to communicate with animals. After his village is attacked, all peace and happiness destroyed, Dar, the sole survivor, journeys to his father's former kingdom seeking revenge

And now, Dar has become the champion of his world and its natural riches. But uncertainty of his own place among people and animals haunts the now legendary Beastmaster. The answer may only be found at the cost of all he loves, for his world has been invaded by a dark power from the stars and the key to the Beastmaster's existence is at the heart of its being
