A Concise History of Germany Reviews

'Clear, concise, and authoritative - still by far the best short introduction to German history available.' Neil Gregor, University of Southampton
'Mary Fulbrook guides the reader through the complexities of German history with energy and aplomb. Her newly updated Concise History of Germany is authoritative, thought-provoking and lively, illuminating key debates and conveying the larger sweep of political, social, economic and cultural developments over a long time span alongside sharply drawn key episodes. It is the ideal introduction to German history, right up to the present day.' Elizabeth Harvey, University of Nottingham
