The Little Giraffe by Lesley Sims

A retelling of an African folktale about how the first, littlest giraffe became tall after a chance meeting with a wise old man. English Learner's Editions are part of the Usborne Reading Programme developed with reading experts at the University of Roehampton. They come with CD recordings in British and American English and downloadable worksheets and teacher's notes. Featuring the colourful illustrations of Laure Fournier. Includes several pages of reading-related puzzles. Also available as an ebook with narration in British English (on tablets that support audio).

About Lesley Sims

Lesley dreamed of being a writer, but studied law as her mother insisted she had "something to fall back on". Since joining Usborne Publishing, she has written and edited hundreds of books, from funny rhyming stories to an award-winning history book. Nowadays, she is often found recording books, too, in Usborne's very own recording studio.
