Summary

Nel's pastoral world is under threat but can she trust those around her - like sensible boyfriend Simon, or Jake, an infuriating and attractive stranger who kissed her once under the mistletoe? Maybe she's been a celibate widow for far too long. By the author of Thyme Out and Artistic Licence.

Paradise Fields Summary

Paradise Fields by Katie Fforde

It's not as if Nel hadn't enough on her plate already: organising a farmer's market in the beautiful Paradise Meadows and sorting out a house full of animals is quite enough to keep her busy. But then her old friend Sir Gerald dies, and soon afterwards his son, accompanied by his glamorous but eccentric American wife, takes up residence in The Big House. Distressingly, it seems that preserving the meadow's way of life is not on their list of priorities. Nel takes up arms, determined to fight for the meadow and the market she loves. But whom can she trust? She's pretty sure her friends Sacha and Vivian are on her side. And her sensible boyfriend Simon, a real estate agent, seems to want to help, but something tells Nel there's a conflict of interests. But then there's Jake, the infuriating yet attractive stranger who kissed her under the mistletoe. Maybe she's been a celibate widow for far too long...

About Katie Fforde

Katie Fforde lives in Gloucestershire with her husband and some of her three children. Her hobbies are ironing and housework, but, unfortunately, she has almost no time for them as she feels it is her duty to keep a close eye on the afternoon chat shows. This is her ninth novel.
