Many books have been written over the years on the subject of UFOs - often by sincere but misguided amateurs; sometimes by charlatans; occasionally by sceptics. This book puts forward rational arguments for alien encounters. Based on first-hand research and accounts of ordinary people's supenatural experiences, the book neither blindly accepts UFO sightings' at face value nor unthinkingly debunks as silly or unreal the contactees' obviously genuine responses to their experiences. Rather, it attempts to understand the phenomena and why there is such a world-wide belief in alien contact. The author also shows that such experiences do not necessarily have to be frightening but that they can have a profoundly beneficial effect on the lives of ordinary people - from discovering unrealized artistic talents to suddenly acquiring the ability to faith heal.
