About Jill Davey

Jill has been a qualified social worker for over 20 years specialising in Child Care. Her experience includes residential and field social work, including child protection investigations. She managed a team of social workers and been lead officer for Child Protection within an Local Education Authority. Jill joined Bournemouth University in 2003 where, with colleagues, she designed and developed the PQ Child Care Award on behalf of the University. Jenny is the course leader and a lecturer for the Post Qualifying Specialist Childcare Award at Bournemouth University and a registered social worker. Her background is working mainly in Child Protection in both long term and assessment childcare teams. She has a particular interest in working with Looked After Children and Care Leavers. She joined the university three years ago and maintains strong links with practice through consultancy and practice teaching.
