The fourth of the Peter High stories, set in a girls' comprehensive school. Jo, now in the second year, develops a massive crush on the games captain, Sarah Bigg. Realizing that saving Sarah's life to impress her is going to be difficult, she goes to great lengths to be noticed in other ways.
