First Men in the Moon Summary

First Men in the Moon by H. G. Wells

Upon meeting Cavor, a physicist, Bedford, the narrator, becomes deeply intrigued by Cavor's work on a substance that will make spaceflight a reality. The two men design and build a spherical spaceship and upon its completion, shoot off into space to be the first men to visit the moon. There they find a desolate wasteland - at least until the Lunar day begins... This edition also includes theme discussions and study questions, which can be used both in the classroom and at home to further engage the reader in the story.
