This text covers the pure mathematics 6 component of the MEI syllabus. In this final component of the whole MEI scheme, five areas are developed in some depth: limiting processes; multi-variable calculus; vectors and matrices; differential geometry; and abstract algebra. The text applies mathematics in a variety of contexts from industry to medicine and sport to show business. Exercises are provided, as well as investigations, experiments, computer activities and discussions.
