About David Armstrong

David Armstrong was born in Birmingham in 1946. After leaving school at fifteen, he worked as a salesman, building labourer and lorry-driver, and sold books to the British Forces in Germany. In 1974, after taking an English degree at the University of Wales, Cardiff, he began teaching at a college of further education in Shropshire. He has two grown-up children and lives in the Welsh Borders. 'Thought for the Day' is his fourth novel.
