Absolutely Everything! Reviews

"Absolutely Everything is groundbreaking because it uses a wider historical context and synthesis as a starting point. Children can read about the Vikings, but also see what was going on in the Islamic empire, as well as finding out what the Carolingians and Charlemagne were up to. This book offers far more than just facts and knowledge to be absorbed and invites the child reader to think, make connections, and see history in a wider context. This makes it uniquely useful as a primary and early secondary resource".

[...] Absolutely Everything is an ambitious concept and a stunningly realised achievement. I can't wait to see Absolutely Everything Else - the sequel that promises to cover even more in an 'entirely different way'. I would highly recommend this for children aged 10-13, Year 6, 7 and 8 classrooms, and school libraries in Key Stages 2 and 3."

About Christopher Lloyd

Christopher Lloyd began his career as a journalist with the Sunday Times newspaper. Then, one day, he had a realisation: even with a 1st class degree in history from Cambridge University and experience as a science writer, there was so much about the world he didn't know. So, he set out to write books that showed how seemingly unrelated events fit together. And so, Chris created the now bestselling Absolutely Everything!. A book that uses engaging prose and lively illustration and photography, to give diverse perspectives on the world. Chris now divides his time between writing inspiring books and delivering workshops to curious kids. He lives in Tonbridge, Kent, with his wife and two adorable terriers.

Andy Forshaw graduated in graphic design and illustration from London's Central Saint Martins college, and has worked on numerous online and publishing projects. Since 2010, Andy has created more than 5,000 illustrations for children's books. When not illustrating, Andy can be found exploring the countryside on his bike. He lives in London.
