All That Glitters Summary

All That Glitters by Catrin Collier

Haydn Powell returns to Pontypridd a hero, with a season's work ahead of him starring in a Revue and variety show at the Town Hall. Much has changed in his absence- his mother has left his father's and his father's mistress has moved in; his estrangled sweetheart Jenny has taken up with his brother Eddie; his sister Bethan is living grandly in a large house outside town with her husband Andrew. Meanwhile, despite the lavish attentions and loose morals of the chorus-line girls, Haydn is taken by surprise by the quiet theatre usherette Jane who is lodging at his father's house and has a secret past. . . .
