This dictionary of over 10,000 saints of the Catholic Church was compiled by the monks of St Augustine's Abbey and incorporates changes that have taken place since the last edition was published 22 years ago. The life and achievements of each saint are listed, and the emblem by which some are recognized is also illustrated. These emblems also appear in a separate alphabetical listing with the relevant saints, providing a valuable reference source for all students and lovers of art and art history. Saints' feast days and patronages are also listed.
