Deadline (Inspector Ikmen Mystery 15) Reviews

Inspector Cetin Ikmen is one of detective fiction's most likeable investigators, despite his grumpy and unsociable character. Or perhaps because of it - we seem to like our detectives a little grouchy: think of him as the Morse of Istanbul... Ikmen is always good company, and Barbara Nadel's writing, as usual (this is her 15th novel in the series) captures the other-worldly though sometimes seedy atmosphere of Istanbul. * Daily Telegraph *
The shade of Agatha Christie adds another note of mystery to a murder take that is both evocative and exotic * Northern Echo *
Atmosphere, authenticity and a touch of the exotic... A well plotted and gripping thriller * Lancashire Evening Post *
[A] Turkish crime delight * Peterborough Evening Telegraph *
