After training for ministry at Trinity College, Bristol, she spent eleven years in three different parishes: urban priority area, leafy suburbia and semi-rural; high church, low church, and 'somewhere in between'. She and her husband moved to Leamington Spa in August 2005 to take up her role as Leadership Development Adviser with CPAS. She works as part of the Arrow Core Team, with a particular brief for developing women as leaders in the Church, and is also involved with CPAS's vocations work. She wrote two Grove Booklets - on domestic violence and on the challenge of feminism to the Church, followed by a book on women evangelists, Liberating the Gospel for Women (Hodder, 1997). These were all published under her maiden name, Rosie Nixson. She has also written for the Church of England Newspaper, Ministry Today and Women Alive and reviews books for the journal Anvil.
