Natasha Solomons, twenty-nine, is a screenwriter and has completed a PhD in 18th century poetry. Mr Rosenblum's List is, in part, inspired by her grandparents who were evacuated from Berlin before the war. Her grandfather was convinced that Hitler was going to win the war and so refused to live in Hampstead or other parts of London where the Jewish community congregated as he thought it would make him too easy to round-up. The list is genuine, as is the grandmother's recipe book. Natasha lives in rural Dorset in the UK.
