John has also written many bestselling books, including The Gospel According to Jesus. He and his wife, Patricia, have 4 married children and 15 grandchildren. Dennis Frates's love for the outdoors began at an early age and led to a passion for photographing landscapes and nature, which he has done for more than 25 years. His images have graced the covers and pages of National Geographic, Sierra Club, Sunset, and five published books as well as calendars, note cards, and other products.
