Joanna Barnden was born in St Andrews, Scotland and has enjoyed creating stories and writing since she could pick up a pencil. Turning this passion into a career, Joanna is now a creative writing tutor for the Open University and has written numerous short stories for various women's magazines. Running Against the Tide is her first full-length novel.
