Geraldo Valerio was born in Brazil, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Drawing, followed by a Master of Arts at New York University. His work has been published in Canada, the United States, Brazil, Portugal, France, the UK and China. His books include Abecedario de Aves Brasileiras, My Book of Birds, Turn On the Night and Moose, Goose, Animals on the Loose. He lives in Toronto.
