Christine Ammer is a professional writer and editor who is active in the women's movement and has led workshops on health issues. Ammer is the author of many reference books, including Unsung: A History of Women in American Music and Getting Help: A Consumer's Guide to Therapy. Most recently she has revised The Dictionary of Music for Facts On File. A graduate of Swarthmore College, she lives in Lexington, MA.
